    Your One-Stop Home Inspection Shop

Take a look at our testimonials and reviews and you’ll find that having your new home inspected by EDC is not a typical service. If you want your home thoroughly inspected, you don’t have to call around seeking various providers to perform the home inspection, WDO inspection, water testing, septic inspections, etc. We do it all or we have subcontractors who do.

We also won’t charge you for an inspection you don’t need, and not all inspections require every service we offer. If you know what specific items you need inspected, great! If not, ask us to point you in the right direction. We’re looking out for your best interest!

    A Cut Above

As licensed home inspectors, we must adhere to the Standards of Practice listed in the state regulations. Additionally, as members of InterNACHI, we must adhere to their Standards of Practice as well.

These standards are a minimum and include what the inspector is/is not required to inspect, but we strive to exceed the standards and your expectations with every inspection. That’s why we include a thermal imaging survey and moisture intrusion inspection as part of every full inspection.

As an added service to you, all of our inspections come with a free Recall Chek® report. This comprehensive report will notify you of any home appliances under a recall. Knowing this information in advance can help you negotiate the asking price and also help you avoid fires and other hazardous incidents.

We inspect the following (when accessible) in every inspection:

    • Roof, vents, flashings, and trim
    • Gutters and downspouts
    • Skylight, chimney, and other roof penetrations
    • Decks, stoops, porches, walkways, and railings
    • Eaves, soffit, and fascia
    • Grading and drainage
    • Basement, foundation, and crawl space
    • Water penetration and foundation movement
    • Heating systems
    • Cooling systems
    • Main water shut-off valves
    • Water heating system
    • Interior plumbing, fixtures, and faucets
    • Drainage sump pumps with accessible floats
    • Electrical service line and meter box
    • Main disconnect and service amperage
    • Electrical panels, breakers, and fuses
    • Grounding and bonding
    • GFCIs and AFCIs

    • And much more…
